Perhaps because i work for a small business that i have grown with and feel so much more than just 'a number' (who has just about kept it's head above water since 2008) i can relate to how both you and your PA feel, i thought it was very emotional. It is so sad that you had to hand over to the administrators who knew your employees by name only and nothing of them as 'people'. Very moving account, i'm sure there's a lot of small business directors out there who would get comfort from hearing your account of events.
